A notional lab consisting of simulated biological agents that could be used in the manufacture of biological weapons awaits an Alaska National Guard response team at the Fire Training Center in Nome, Alaska, June 12, as part of exercise ORCA 2023. The biennial exercise is part of the Alaska National Guard 103rd Weapons of Mass Destruction - Civil Support Team’s routine training schedule, designed to maintain readiness, validate response procedures, and collaborate with community first response agencies across the state.
