MG John L. Rafferty, Chief of Public Affairs (right), pins a “Soldier for Life Pin” on Lt Col – Retired James H. Harvey(left), United States Army Air Corps/U.S. Air Force, on June 17, 2023. Harvey, a Tuskegee Airman who served with the 332 Fighter Group’s 99TH Fighter Squadron, was the guest speaker for the Western Pennsylvania Juneteenth Celebration at the city of Pittsburgh’s Pointe State Park. Harvey will have his 100th birthday next month. Additionally, on hand were the U.S. Army Jazz Ambassadors, which provided music selections from their “Songs of Freedom” playlist in honor of the Juneteenth celebration and as part of its regular touring season.
