Soldiers assigned to the 2nd Recruiting Brigade pass flowers to the wives of leadership during a change of command ceremony at the University of South Florida, Tampa, June 2, 2023. During the ceremony, Lt. Col. Matthew A . Turcotte and Command Sgt. Maj. Jonathan D. Cargile assumed their respective roles as the new commander and command sergeant major of the 2nd Recruiting Brigade. The duo’s new area of responsibility encompasses a population of 8.5 million, covering more than 20,000 square miles within 25 counties in Central and Southwest Florida.
