Carpenter, Commanding General of 7th Army Training Command, and Konstantine Knobloch, son of Grafenwoehr Mayor Edgar Knobloch, competed in a sautrog (pig trough) race during the annual Fischerfest (Fisherman’s festival) in Grafenwoehr, Germany, June 24, 2023. The sautrog race is a Bavarian tradition in which teams of two race against each other in the water using paddles, pig troughs, and any means necessary to win in the friendly competition.
