Ms. Jessica Niss recreates a photograph of her son, Cpl. Eric-John Niss-DeJesus, on Marine Corps Base Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, May 26, 2023. The original photograph was taken on MCB Camp Foster after Cpl. Niss-DeJesus's acceptance to the enlisted commissioning program on April 16, 2021. Cpl. Niss-DeJesus drowned on June 5, 2021.
