U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Kiara Thomas, a bulk fuel specialist with 6th Engineer Support Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group, becomes the first female Marine to graduate the Designated Marksmanship Course, at Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, Virginia, June 28, 2023. The purpose of the DMC is to train Marines to become highly skilled marksmen in order to support future security forces operations. Marine Corps Security Regiment organizes, trains, and equips anti-terrorism security forces in order to conduct expeditionary security operations and provide security for vital national assets.
