Facility dog Angus Darling was honorarily commissioned as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Nurse Officer Corps on Oct. 18, 2022. A promotion and commissioning ceremony for the Facility Dog Program at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) took place at the flagpole in front of Building 1 (The Tower). The use of facility dogs is increasing throughout the Military Health System.
