    30 June, 2023 (VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia) Commodore, Maritime Expeditionary Security Group TWO (MESG TWO) Captain Christopher Wells awards the Meritorious Service Medal to Commanding Officer, Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron TWO (MSRON TWO) Commander Jeffery Margalus, during a change of command ceremony onboard Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek – Fort Story. Commander Margalus served as MSRON TWO’s CO from April 2022 to June 2023 and was relieved by Commander David “Joey” Vitollo. MSRON TWO was established in the wake of the bombing of the USS Cole (DDG-67) and the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks with the primary goal of providing anti-terrorism defense for American assets around the globe using well-trained and highly mobile security forces.
