S2 senior officer Capt. Nick Mrzlak and M1 armor crewman Pfc. Sean Riordan, assigned to 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, supporting 4th Infantry Division, scale over an obstacle during the Spur Ride event near Pabrade, Lithuania, on July 6, 2023. The Spur Ride had 290 participants which included the United States Army, Lithuanian, German, and Croatian armed forces being tested in teamwork and individual soldier tasks through 7 lanes, including a gunnery skills test, engineering operations, calling for fire missions, and medical evacuations, in order to earn their spurs.
