    NAS PATUXENT RIVER (July 6, 2023) - From left, Vice Adm. Carl Chebi, Commander, Naval Air Systems Command; Rear Adm. Nancy Lacore, Commandant, Naval District Washington; Capt. Derrick Kingsley, NAS Patuxent River Commanding Officer; and Capt. Douglas Burfield, NAS Patuxent River Executive Officer render honors to Firefighter Brice Trossbach as his funeral procession makes its way through base July 6, 2023. Trossbach died in the line of duty while battling a house fire, June 27. Nearly 3,000 friends, family, and firefighters from across the states of Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania attended the funeral to pay their respect.
