Yuma-based Lance Cpl. Giovanni Serna, a Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron corrections specialist and a native of Elmwood Park, N.J., keeps his hometown family and friends in mind as the aftermath left in the wake of Hurricane Sandy unfolds, Nov. 15. “I tell them they can always rebuild and not to lose hope,” said Serna. “Restore the shore, keep Jersey strong.”
