SYDNEY (July 17, 2023) – Royal Australian Navy Able Seaman Mary Healy, assigned to Maritime Deployable Robotic & Autonomous Systems Experimentation Unit, watches a tug boat from the mission deck of the Lewis B. Puller-class expeditionary staging base USS Miguel Keith (ESB 5) as it departs Sydney July 17, 2023 with various units from the United States, Australia and New Zealand to participate in Talisman Sabre 23. Miguel Keith, currently operating under Task Force 76/3, is participating in Talisman Sabre 23, which is the largest bilateral military exercise between Australia and the United States advancing a free and open Indo-Pacific by strengthening relationships and interoperability among key allies and enhancing our collective capabilities to respond to a wide array of potential security concerns.
