Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico,February 26, 2019- A significant event took place where several local voluntary agencies came together to participate in construction workshops facilitated by the Mennonite Disaster Service. This collaborative effort was made possible through the "Voluntary Agencies Leading and Organizing Repairs" program, which aims to coordinate and empower voluntary agencies in disaster recovery and rebuilding initiatives.
The Mennonite Disaster Service, an organization known for its expertise in disaster response and recovery efforts, took the lead in conducting these workshops. Their primary objective was to enhance the construction skills of the participants, particularly focusing on building structures that can withstand future challenges and contribute to the overall resilience of the community.FEMA/Eduardo Martinez
