Drs. Tony Yuan, Maureen Hood, Vincent Ho, and Doug Morris of the Uniformed Services University’s 4D Bio3 Center for Biotechnology participate in the National Museum of Health and Medicine’s Military Medical Innovation: The Future is Here event in Silver Spring, Maryland on July 29, 2023.
The USU 4D Bio3 Center for Biotechnology displays biofabrication technologies and novel solutions for the advancement of military medicine, like the level 42 fiber acoustic sensor.
The fiber acoustic device monitors and detects pulmonary acute lung injuries. The sensor picks up vibrations in the body, like the flowing of blood, and notes any abnormal changes that may indicate an injury or infectious disease, and then triangulates the problem area with AI technology.
