230804-N-LU761-1100 PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug. 4, 2023) Aviation Structural Mechanic 3rd Class Sebastian Wolfrum, right, a native of Winterhaven, Florida, and Aviation Structural Mechanic Airman Nathaniel Kelley, a native of Ragland, Alabama, assigned to the “Golden Dragons” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 192, perform maintenance on an F/A-18E Super Hornet in the hangar bay aboard Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 1’s flagship, is underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations. Integrated exercises prepare our Sailors to respond quickly.
