As a part of a realistic training scenario, two UH-60 Black Hawks assigned to the 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, touchdown on a landing zone at the Rodriguez Live-fire Range near Pocheon, Republic of Korea, on Aug. 4, 2023. A combined force of ROK and U.S. special operations personnel planned and conducted a rescue and recovery training event involving a simulated downed pilot. The scenario required infiltrating a contested urban scenario, applying tactical combat casualty care, and strengthening the combined force’s ability to work together in a dynamic and high-stress environment.
