US Service members from Arizona National guard; Montana National Guard; New Mexico Air Guard; and Illinois and Wisconsin Army Reserves aided local emergency responders in a mass incident training in Fort Belknap reservation; on August 16; 2023. Service members acted as if they were reacting to being pepper sprayed to allow for both police and emergency services react to a large crowd and mass care. After training, police officer Josh Ruberge reconnected with past colleague Montana National Guard Sergeant Nicholas McMarrell.
