SSgt Chadrick S. Holliday Jr. holds a critical role in the 51st Civil Engineer Squadron Engineering Flight at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea. Holliday is a member of the Construction Management team where he provides oversight on 68 active projects valued at $364M. He coordinates pre-construction meetings, daily inspections, contract invoices, Temporary Airfield Construction Waivers, base utility outages, and project risk assessments. Holliday’s position as a Contract Officer Representative requires constant communication with the 411th Contracting Support Brigade, Contracting Officers, and Quality Assurance Specialist to provide construction update data for active projects. Holliday played a pivotal role in the demolition of 30 facilities which gained 1.4M square feet of real estate for new construction to revitalize the base’s infrastructure. He was an essential team member of a real-world PACAF F-16 crash recovery and investigation, where he led 4 Airmen in the GPS surveying of the crash site to flag and assign unique identifiers for the retrieval of critical aircraft components scattered across 1.76M square feet. Holliday was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal for his efforts. Holliday also displays great leadership qualities as the Flight Training Manager and oversees AFSC-specific requirements for all Airmen in upgrade training. During his tenure at Airman Leadership School, Holliday was awarded the coveted John Levitow Award for demonstrating the highest level of leadership. Holliday is truly an outstanding NCO who lives up to Air Force core values and is a shining example for others to follow.
