Shawn Smith, NCOIC of Blanchfield Army Community Hospital’s Ophthalmology Clinic, who graduated the U.S. Army Pathfinder course August 17, 2023,, at the The Sabalauski Air Assault School School on Fort Campbell. U.S. Army Pathfinders have been used since World War II to establish and operate landing and drop zones. They were the first American Soldiers on the ground on D-Day in 1944.
