U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to Shaw Air Force Base and Joint Base Charleston unload cargo from a C-17 Globemaster III during Exercise Iron Hand 23-08 at North Auxiliary Airfield, S.C., Aug. 22, 2023. The C-17s provided transportation for Airmen, equipment and fuel throughout the exercise, allowing the 20th Fighter Wing to test operational capabilities in a secluded location, which is the basis of the Agile Combat Employment idea introduced by Air Force Chief of Staff Gen.
