Mr. Njsane Courtney, vice president of human resources, American Bureau of Shipping, accepts the annual Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award, the highest recognition given by the U.S. Government to employers for their outstanding support of employees serving in the Guard and Reserve, during a ceremony Aug. 30 at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. American Bureau of Shipping was one of 15 employers selected from 1,863 nominations this year to receive the prestigious award. Nominated by Army National Guard Master Sgt. Frank Horstman, American Bureau of Shipping is of the world’s leading ship classification organizations.
