Paul Abel is the operations director with Defense Logistics Agency Distribution in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. On Sept. 11, 2001, he was a lieutenant colonel working in Army Logistics at the Pentagon. He received a letter of appreciation and a piece of limestone from the Pentagon to honor his work that day and the months after the attack.
