U.S. Army Sgt. First Class Sayvador Morales, noncommissioned officer in charge of heavy equipment maintenance with 130th Engineer Brigade, 8th Theater Sustainment Command, watches as an Australian tank drives past on road road that was improved during Super Garuda Shield 23 at 5th Marine Training Center (Puslatpur), Situbondo, Indonesia, 09 Sept. 2023. Service members improved the road in order to facilitate multi-national training during Super Garuda Shield 23. The road was reinforced and widened to connect the main military post to the tank firing range. #SuperGarudaShield 2023 is an annual exercise that has significantly grown in scope and size since 2009. #SGS2023 is the second consecutive time this exercise has grown into a combined and #joint event, highlighting the 6 participating and 12 observing nations’ commitment to #partnership and a #freeandopenindopacific.
