The incoming and outgoing Coalition field commanders ceremoniously shake hands to signify that the relief in place of troops is complete. The official transfer of authority by the two commanders means outgoing service members have departed the region and their replacements have assumed their duties. The regular rotation of deployed units allows the Combined Special Operations Joint Task Force-Levant to deploy anywhere and anytime while maintaining the best equipped and trained coalition in the world.
