U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Daniel Belet, an F-35B Lightning II pilot with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 542, taxis down the runway at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, Sept. 12, 2023. The Naval Weapons System Evaluation Program allowed VMFA-542 to safely conduct the loading and firing of live missiles at threat-realistic targets to test the squadron's ability, flexibility, and procedures while repositioned in unfamiliar locations.
