The static F-105 Thunderchief on display outside the main gate at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn., is dedicated to Lt. Gen. Robert Bond. He was killed on April 26, 1984, when the aircraft he was piloting crashed at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. The display was dedicated in memory of Bond during a Nov. 9, 1984, ceremony. It was the first static display to be dedicated at Arnold. (U.S. Air Force photo by Bradley Hicks)
