Soldiers assigned to 4th Battalion, 2nd Aviation Regiment, 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 2nd Infantry ROK-U.S. Combined Division load AGM-114 Hellfire missiles onto an AH-64E Apache for aerial gunnery training with the ROK Navy 2nd Fleet at Pyeongtaek Naval Base, South Korea, Sept. 21, 2023.. Apache helicopters can be armed with an assortment of munitions to include AGM-114 Hellfire missiles, Hydra 70 rockets and 30mm autocanon ammunition. This exercise focused on the ability of the ROK Navy and U.S. Army to interoperate in Apache aerial gunnery overwater in vicinity of Jik-do Island. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the ROK-U.S. ironclad alliance.
