JACKSONVILLE, Fl. (September, 29, 2023) – Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Jacksonville, along with Expeditionary Medical Facility - Mike welcomed our newest chief petty officers during a pinning ceremony on base today: HMC Tenia Miller, HMC Jonathan Ventura, CSC Brian Wright, HMC Angelic Slaughter, HMC Anthony Salazar and HMC Marquetta Conaway. The chiefs' pinning ceremony is a tradition unique to the Navy, which dates back to 1893, when the chief petty officer pay grade was created. The ceremony signifies a new position of leadership and responsibility. New CPOs within the command who participated in other ceremonies included HMC Jakarta Crafton, HMC Deven Sanabria, HMC Stephen Delrosario, and HMC Anthony Frazier.
