Charlotte Bart, one of the first females integrated into the Coast Guard, is greeted and honored by Coast Guard members at her 100th birthday party on Sept. 30, 2023, held inside a fire deptartment in Haddon Township, New Jersey. Ms. Bart served as a member of SPAR, a program that allowed women to serve at stations in the United States, which provided the opportunity for men to join ranks overseas during World War II.
