U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion (HHBn), U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) salutes the Italian and U.S. flags during both national anthems at a change of responsibility ceremony, on Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy, Oct. 3, 2023. The change of responsibility ceremony reinforces noncommissioned officer authority in the U.S. Army and highlights their support to the chain of command. SETAF-AF provides U.S. Africa Command and U.S. Army Europe & Africa a dedicated headquarters to synchronize Army activities in Africa and scalable crisis response options in Africa and Europe.
