U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Salvador Garcia Garcia, assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion (HHBn), U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), hands the unit’s guidon to Lt. Col. Corbett Baxter, commander of HHBn, SETAF-AF, as a symbol of formally transferring the authority and responsibility from an outgoing Command Sergeant Major at a change of responsibility ceremony, on Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy, Oct. 3, 2023. The change of responsibility ceremony reinforces noncommissioned officer authority in the U.S. Army and highlights their support to the chain of command.
