U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Khamari Chambers, an administrative specialist with Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, stands ready with the color guard at the Pacific Views Event Center at MCB Camp Pendleton, Oct 7, 2023. As the HQSPT Battalion color sergeant, Chambers leads the team and holds the distinguished honor of carrying the U.S. flag. He is also responsible for the training, performance and organization of the color guard at military retirements, ceremonies, parades and other formal events. A native of Atlanta, Chambers leads the color guard to experience a different side of the Marine Corps, meet new people and hone skills of discipline and command presence.
