    U.S. Army Soldiers with 1st Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), perform gear safety checks in a C-130 Hercules during a static-line parachute jump operation at Ie Shima, Okinawa, Japan, on Oct. 26, 2023. Marines, Airmen, and Special Operations Soldiers practiced static-line and free-fall jumps to hone their abilities for airborne operations.
