U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Edgardo Rosario, assigned to the 30th Medical Brigade, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, prepares a simulated casualty for medevac during one of the combat testing lanes at the U.S. Army Europe Expert Field Medical Badge (EFMB) test site on November 7, 2023, at the E3B training site on Vilseck, Germany.
Candidates are tested both physically and mentally as they attempt to earn the EFMB. The evaluation started with one hundred and fifty-three soldiers from throughout Europe as they attempted to earn one of the most challenging and prestigious Army special skill badges, with a fiscal passing rate below 20%.
