Col Jason T. Edwards and his brother Sgt. Josh Edwards escort their father, Sgt. Thomas Edwards to the '325,' the UH-1H that he served on from 1967-1968 as a door gunner during the Vietnam War. Thomas Edwards traveled more than 1,300 miles from his home in Granite Falls, Minnesota to see the helicopter with his sons and their Families. He was also awarded the Army Commendation Medal with Valor during his visit, Nov. 11. He was given the award for successfully extracting a long-rage reconnaissance patrol on July 30, 1968, but the orders were received after he left Vietnam.
