Civilian guests raise their hands as Brig. Gen. Curtis D. Taylor swears them in as "Soldiers for a day" during a Distinguished Visitor Immersion Box Tour October 12, 2023, at Fort Irwin National Training Center, Calif. Over 70 leaders from the business, literary and entertainment fields visited the NTC to experience being Soldiers for the day and to gain an inside look at the vast and formidable Mojave desert training area, known to Soldiers as “the box,” here.
