A public works crew refreshes paint and applies retro-reflective tape to channel makers in Ngaraard State, Palau, on Nov. 28, 2023, to improve visibility and save lives. The move comes after the U.S. Coast Guard in Guam was able to provide the retro-reflective tape to solve the visibility issue and help save lives. U.S. Coast Guard Forces Micronesia/Sector Guam is committed to supporting search and rescue and reducing the need for searches in the Republic of Palau and Oceania by ensuring mariners can safely return.
