Lance Cpl. Anthony Zavala, ammunition technician, Regimental Combat Team 7, suffered third degree burns on his right hand. He was out of work for three to four months because of the injury but refused to let it keep him from deploying. Six surgeries later, he may never have feeling in his hand, but he fulfilled his dream of deploying to Afghanistan.
