Marine Band San Diego performs pre-ceremonial music under the direction of the enlisted conductor, Staff Sgt. Nathan Casey, for the annual Mt. Soledad Veteran’s Day Ceremony, La Jolla, California, Nov. 11, 2023. This year, Mt. Soledad’s National Veterans Memorial commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. Marine bands showcase the Esprit de Corps through music and represent the discipline and professionalism of the Marine Corps. Casey is a native of Portland, Oregon.
