U.S. Marine veterans who served with 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, listen to guest speakers during the annual Mt. Soledad Veteran’s Day Ceremony in La Jolla, California, Nov. 11, 2023. This year’s ceremony commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. The Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial is an official partner of the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration, which was launched by President Barack Obama in 2012. The commemoration was authorized by Congress to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.
