Alex Miner, a fire direction noncommissioned officer from DIVARTY’s Fire Control Element, summited Whiteface Mountain, with a towering elevation of 4,867 feet on Dec. 5, 2023, to set up communication equipment to extend the Hunter EMS VIIb digital line-of-sight to more than 80 miles. Hunter EMS VIIb is an exercise, held on Fort Drum and Ethan Allen, Vermont, from Nov. 30 to Dec. 5, aimed to validate and improve the division's operational capacity in an ever-evolving battlefield by combining kinetic and non-kinetic effects.
