At the heart of USAID's mission, we are committed to bolstering local industries and stimulate economic growth. Today, we spotlight Sehtak Factory - a mineral water bottling facility based in Baghdad, owned by the industrious Mr. Hisham.
Sehtak grapples with production and distribution capacity challenges. These constraints have inhibited the factory from fully meeting market demands and expanding their operations.
USAID delivered a high-capacity water cup forming filling machine to Sehtak, which helps them produce between 15,000 and 16,000 cups per hour and amplify their production.
But USAID’s support doesn't stop at equipment. Through Tahfeez, USAID provided hygiene and food safety training to the factory staff, ensuring quality in every cup.
With this reinforced support, Sehtak anticipates a 90% increase in sales in the first year and the creation of at least ten new jobs.
