A breaching charge detonates during a regularly planned training event involving ROK special operations personnel and U.S. Army Special Forces Green Berets on Dec. 20, 2023, at the ROK Special Warfare School training range near Icheon, ROK. The training reinforces the decades-long SOF relationship between the ROK and U.S. and consisted of various events that honed unique skills special operations forces maintain, strengthening conventional and SOF interoperability, empowering an effective integrated-deterrence posture, and enabling a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
