The Ohio National Guard conducted a memorialization ceremony for the 1st Lt. James Gregory Miller Armory in Newark, Ohio, July 13, 2023, marking the completion of $1.73 million in improvements to the nearly 70-year-old facility. Miller, a native of Newark, enlisted in the Ohio National Guard at the armory in 1964 and was later killed in action in Vietnam while serving on active duty.
