The aeromedical fuselage trainer, a repurposed C-130 airframe, sits in place Dec. 27, 2023, at the National Guard air base in Lincoln, Nebraska. The C-130 was delivered to the 155th Air Refueling Wing to support the U.S. Air Force’s Center for Sustainment of Trauma And Readiness Skills. C-STARS Omaha is based at University Nebraska Medical Center as part of a Department of Defense, Department of Health and Human Services and University partnership called Project NExT and specifically focuses on transporting patients with high consequence infectious disease such as Ebola.
