WASHINGTON (Jan. 30, 2024) - Students at Anacostia High School created a banner to honor their new Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathemetics (STEM) team, the "AnaDroids." Employees from Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) sites across the country are heavily involved in naval STEM outreach, volunteering to provide mentorship and sponsorship in local communities where their sites or commands are located. Students from Anacostia High kicked off the school's For Inspiration & Recognition of Science & Technology (FIRST) robotics build season with the help of SSP STEM mentors in early January.
