KINGSLAND, Ga. (Jan. 19, 2024) - STEM outreach mentors from U.S. Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) test a student design during a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) outreach event at the Camden County Library. SSP Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic (SWFLANT) STEM coordinator Caren Spahr (left) and SWFLANT Mentor Rebecca Pasquale (middle) both evaluated the student's design. SWFLANT donated a STEM cart originally given to Camden County High School containing all the educational materials for this event. Employees from SSP sites, like SWFLANT, are heavily involved in nationwide naval STEM outreach, volunteering to provide mentorship and sponsorship in local communities where their sites or commands are located.
