U.S. Marines with the maritime raid force, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, signal to U.S. Navy Sailors aboard the amphibious docking ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) during a reconnaissance and surveillance exercise, off the coast of Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 2, 2024. The exercise focused on CRRC insertion and maneuverability to perform follow-on operations at sea. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
