Brig. Gen David Weeks, commanding general, Joint Task Force Empire, pins the Army Commendation Medal on a 132nd Multi-Role Bridge Company soldier during an end of tour ceremony, recently. The 132nd MRBC received 24 Bronze Star Medals, five Meritorious Service Medals, 114 Army Commendation Medals and 20 Army Achievement Medals. The day was cold and the formation lasted over three hours, yet with the presence of Brig. Gen. Weeks recognizing each soldier individually with their awards, the spirits of the team River Rat stayed warm internally. The formation was one of the last iconic milestones for the company prior to redeployment. (Photo courtesy of 132nd MRBC)
