U.S. Army Sgt. David Berger, a laboratory technician assigned to U.S. Army Health Clinic Vicenza, receives a coin from Maj. Gen. Todd R. Wasmund, U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) commanding general, at Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy, Feb. 2nd, 2024. Berger was chosen by his peers as one of the most deserving of a SETAF-AF coin in the laboratory as Wasmund showed his appreciation for the members of U.S. Army Health Clinic Vicenza during the U.S. Army Nursing Corps’ 123rd birthday celebration. SETAF-AF provides U.S. Africa Command and U.S. Army Europe & Africa a dedicated headquarters to synchronize U.S. Army activities in Africa and scalable crisis response options in Africa and Europe.
